Cat abuser in hiding
August 21, 2013 by BruceMajors
Walter Easley of South Carolina posted a video of himself kicking his cat off his porch for some reason. Now he’s hiding from the Internet and made his Twitter@SuckMy_Walt, private in order to shield himself from the backlash that he’s receiving.
Child psychologists almost universally agree that the willingness of a child to torture animals is an indicator of possible future psychopathic traits. But whether or not a child who abuses animals is really a psychopath, they are certainly not a smart kid. Animal rights activists don’t have to do much to punish people who hurt animals, because the Internet’s new form of citizen vigilantism provides a near immediate backlash to people who engage in such petty and cruel behavior.
Easley deleted the video after the social media outrage began to pile on, but that hasn’t stopped the hordes of Internet denizens from finding his personal information and tracking him down. A petition called “Bring Walter Easley the kitten kicker to justice” has emerged that is calling for the man to be brought to justice and has collected 3,000 signatures.
