The Democrats problem is that they view humanity as balkanized groups like medieval guilds where you have rights based on your group membership and whose allegiance as voters is purchased with welfare benefits.. But then the groups fight over who is the more deserving victim entitled to more government aid. And the Democrats have to ask groups to sit at the back of the bus sometimes so as not to

scare away other voters. When I was at the 2000 Gore nominating convention in Los Angeles, DNC workers came around and told all us gay delegates and quasi-delegates to put away our rainbow flags and pink triangles when the cameras were rolling. Now they are scrubbing evidence of their events for Moslems off their website, unwilling to let other voters know they are having an event for them.

DNC Removes All Reference of “Official” Muslim Event from Website

By Hollis Armstrong, GerardDirect – August 31, 2012

Earlier this week, we posted an article about the DNC sponsoring, as an “official event” JUMAH at the DNC (watch the promotional video here).
Florida Family Association sent out an email alert on August 29, 2012 which reported the following two sub headlines:
“DNC approves Jumah for 20,000 Muslims.” “RNC adopts anti-Sharia plank at convention.”
The email alert and Floridafamily.org website provided a link to the DNC web site calendar of events which at that time and up until yesterday afternoon included the Juma event, which the original DNC website listed as an “official function.”
However, since then, the Jumah event was removed from the DNC web site calendar, and there is no reference at all to the event. A supporter noted in an e-mail, “It was still there 5.30 PM on 8/30/2012 and at 6.30 PM it was gone! I looked everywhere but it’s not listed anymore.”
(See video at the bottom of the page here.)
Not only has all trace of the Jumah been deleted from the DNC webiste, the Jumah was slated to be held today, far from the DNC, at a location seven miles from the Convention Center.
One can only speculate on the kind of pressure that was exerted on the DNC to disassociate itself from the Jumah. Prior to the cleansing of the DNC website, it was announced by the that Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the president of the U.S. bishops’ conference and, some think, in line to be considered to succeed Pope Benedictus XVI, had been refused the opportunity to give the closing benediction at the DNC, as he did at the RNC.
The group sponsoring the assembly is far from the mainstream Muslm community. The Grand Imam for the Jumah will be Siraj Wahhaj, Imam of the al Taqwa Mosque in Brooklyn, who was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the World Trade center bombings. He is well known for his ability to be considered ‘moderate’ by much of the media, on the one hand, and for his inflammatory statements, such as the one he once gave in a speech, when he said that it was his “duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Quran.”
Both Wahhaj and Jibril Hough, who is associated with the “Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs” and a co-leader of the event, are heavily involved in the separatist American Islamist movement.

Louis Magazzu, a Cumberland County freeholder in New Jersey, resigned Tuesday after nude photos of him surfaced.

TAKE OUR POLL

The naked truth

Do you think Magazzu should have resigned?
Yes. His behavior is disgusting.
No. It’s not like he broke any laws.
I’m not sure.
It’s Anthony Weiner, Jersey edition.
Garden State Democrat Louis Magazzuannounced his resignation Tuesday after nude pictures he sent to a woman he had been corresponding with were posted on a Republican activist’s website.
At least two of the photos showed theCumberland County freeholder’s crotch, two showed him dressed to the nines in a suit, and a fifth showed him waist up without a shirt.
The tawdry photos – taken in front of a mirror with a smartphone – are similar to those that led to Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Queens-Brooklyn) to call it quits in June.
Magazzu, a 53-year-old lawyer who had been an elected county official for more than a decade, apologized to his friends, family and constituents in a statement, but indicated he had been set up.
“I did not know that she was working with an avowed political enemy to distribute these pictures,” Magazzu said of theChicago woman he corresponded with online with for several years but claims he never met. “I have retained counsel to determine what laws may have been broken by the unauthorized distribution of those pictures.”
Magazzu, who has five children, has been separated from his wife for about two years. He claims no government devices were used to receive or send the pictures.
Unlike Weiner, who waited weeks before resigning, Magazzu stepped down just a day after the photo scandal hit local papers.
Carl Johnson, of Milville, who posted the photos on Magazzuwatch.com, said he would consider taking down the photos.
“He should have stepped down a long time ago for many reasons. His brand of politics is harmful to the entire political process,” Johnson told The Associated Press.  “I’m sorry it had to happen this way.”

My ex (who was for years part of the deep, dark world of Koch-funded conspirators like the Cato Institute and other boogeymen that makes pro-regressives wet the mattresses in the night — and yes we are coming for you!) and I used to have two really fun things we did out of bed.  One was for me, in pre-TSA, pre-DHS, pre-Patriot Act days, (in the early 1980s), at the ripe age of 21, to accompany him to the final boarding gate of his plane when he went on speaking trips, and plant a lingering French kiss on him at the check-in desk for the amusement of all the passengers and crew.  (It was more revolutionary back then kids.)

The other was to read the Washington Post or New York Times coverage of some gay person in police custody or a squabble and say “another tragic homosexually related death” since the gay angle did seem to be featured in any mishap with a gay person.

But now we have gay people supplying this bad PR themselves!  Here are two examples.  The first is from the anti-gay, conservative website World Net Daily, surveying death threats by gays against marriage equality opponents.  Whatever you think of their passion, you must admit they aren’t good PR.

The second is gay columnist Rick Rosendall in a video telling Washington Times reporter Kerry Picket to “drop dead.”  Mr. Rosendall, whom I do know personally, has written for IndeGayForum.com (in our links section) as well as both of the two local DC gay news publications, MetroWeekly and the Washington Blade.  (The Blade by the way, is looking for one conservative, libertarian, or non-politically correct columnist, and even solicited me at an event, but none of my pieces are ever “gay” enough for them, as I tend to write about things that are not “strictly” gay topics, whatever those are.)  Mr. Rosendall, by the way, betrays his ideological blinders in his whispered screeching at Ms. Picket where he tells her she is partisan and ignorant.  He claims DC voters “rejected” education vouchers, the vouchers President Zero and Senator Durbin stole from several thousand poor black DC children a couple of years ago.  He needs this to be true since the modern Democratic Party is funded by selling poor black children to educrat cartels for Democratic Party campaign contributions.  In Mr. Rosendall’s own Southern Compromise he wishes to maintain the slave trade in poor black kids if it will fund politicians who will at least throw him a few rainbow crumbs.  In reality DC’s poorest, blackest Ward, Ward 8, continues to re-elect former Mayor Marion Barry to the city council and he supports the restoration of DC education vouchers.  And almost 40% of DC parents have pulled their kids out of traditional state schools and switched them to charter schools, with another 5% doing so every year, voting with their feet like refugees from Soviet communism.

Some gays give the anti-gay World Net Daily ammunition, as it were. If you know who they are I think you should consider telling them to stop. It’s not good PR. Especially since gay Democrats are among those denouncing tea partiers who mention the Second Amendment as violent fascists. The double standards and hypocrisy already lost you Congress and many state houses and governorships.

Support traditional marriage? ‘You’re dead’

‘I’m a gay guy who owns guns, and he’s my next target’

A federal court in Tacoma, Wash., has been asked to order that the names of signatories of a state petition seeking to protect traditional marriage be redacted to protect them from death threats from homosexual activists.

“What is becoming increasingly evident,” said James Bopp of the James Madison Center, “is that some groups and individuals, certainly a minority, have resorted to advancing their cause, not by debating the merits of the issue but by discouraging participation in the democratic process itself.

“The First Amendment was designed to ensure that all groups, whatever their persuasion, could participate fully in our republic,” he said. That breaks down when some groups or individuals are cowed into silence for fear that they or their families will be targeted or threatened if they speak up.”

The issue is the some 138,000 Washington state residents who signed a petition in 2009 to repeal a law that gave same-sex partners all the legal rights of married couples. The petition forced a referendum vote in November of that year in which voters decided to sustain the law.

But because the state considers such petitions “public records,” homosexual activists are demanding the names and addresses of the signers in order to post them on the Internet and “publicize on their web sites, in searchable format, the identities of every person who signed the … petition,” according to a new filing seeking nondisclosure of the names.

The groups announcing the plans were KnowThyNeighbor.org and WhoSigned.org, according to the filing.

The filing on behalf of Protect Marriage Washingtonexplains the real problem is the documentation of actual threats that have been made against those who support traditional marriage, a litany of what the Los Angeles Times described as a “vengeful campaign.

Among the documented threats:

  • “I will kill you and your family.”
  • “Oh my God, This woman is so f—ing stupid. Someone please shoot her in the head, again and again. And again.”
  • “I’m going to kill the pastor.”
  • “If I had a gun I would have gunned you down along with each and every other supporter…”
  • “We’re going to kill you.”
  • “You’re dead. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon … you’re dead.”
  • “I’m a gay guy who owns guns, and he’s my next target.”
  • “I warn you, I know how to kill, I’m an ex-special forces person.”
  • “Get ready for retribution all you bigots.”
  • Burn their f—ing churches to the ground, and then tax the charred timbers.”

The evidence included churches marred by graffiti, swastikas on lawns and walls, bricks thrown through windows and doors, adhesive poured into locks, suspicious packages of white powder sent in the mail – “all for nothing more than supporting traditional marriage.”

“On two occasions, both in Washington state, a group called Bash Back! boldly accepted credit for vandalizing houses of worship, writing in one case, ‘when we [graffitied your walls] and glued all the doors shut, we threw open our own doors and tattooed those words on hour (sic) hearts. Welcome to our world s—heads.'”

According to the filing, “When some activists could sense that intimidation was not working … they resorted to threatening the families – even the children – of supporters. In one case, the perpetrator threated to ‘kill’ the supporter’s child and the whole family; in another, to ‘harm’ the supporter’s family; and in another, to rape the supporters’ daughter.”

The reason for the demand for the names and addresses was made clear earlier, according to the filing.

“In an obvious attempt to dissuade people from signing the … petition, two homosexual advocacy groups – Massachusetts-based KnowThyNeighbor.org and Washington-based WhoSigned.org – announced their intentions to obtain the identities of every person who signed the petition; to publicly expose the persons on their respective web sites; and to make their web sites ‘accessible and searchable.’

“Dave Ammons, communications director for Defendant Sam Reed, posted a blog entry on the Secretary of State’s web site explaining that the alleged reason for wanting to publicly expose … petition signers was to get ‘voters to think twice about signing’ … and to allow opponents to ‘be able to talk with their neighbors and townspeople who signed to explain the ramifications.'”

Homosexual promoters have stated publicly they want to post the personal contact information on the Internet so that activists can find them for “uncomfortable conversations.”

“We’ve got affidavits from more than 60 people who were targeted, harassed. There are newspaper reports of more cases. This seems to be a concerted campaign … to attack and stifle the opposition through harassment,” Bopp earlier told WND.

When the court case originated, a judge ruled in favor of the signers’ privacy, but the ruling was overturned by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court then said that the petitions are open records in general but did not determine the specifics of this controversy.

The current request is for a federal court ruling that instructs Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed not to publish the names and addresses.

According to a statement from Bopp, “The question is, Why do they want them? Not only is it unclear what purpose it would serve to release the names at this point, there is also a very good reason not to release them. Together with its briefing to the court, Protect Marriage Washington presented hundreds of pages of documented examples of threats and reprisals directed at supporters of traditional marriage, not only in Washington but across the country. The evidence includes death threats, extensive vandalism, overt threats of destruction of property, arson and threats of arson, intimidating emails and phone calls, hate mail, mailed envelopes containing white suspicious powder, blacklists, loss of employment and job opportunities, and gross expressions of anti-religious bigotry, including vandalism and threats directed at religious institutions and religious adherents – all for doing nothing more than standing up for traditional marriage.”

The federal court filing said, “The evidence compiled is overwhelming in demonstrating a ‘pattern of threats’ and ‘specific manifestations of public hostility’ … against those who have, often out of a sense of religious conviction, voiced opposition to the homosexual movement. At their core, however, these reprisals are ‘not so much anti-religions as anti-democratic.'”
“When dialogue and disagreement degenerate into the thuggery of intimidation and retaliation, civility is lost, and with it our liberties,” it warned.

Apparently tonight in Manhattan at the gay Democratic fundraiser they are going to make Obama dance on the bar and shove dollar bills in his socks and waist band.

This is a new version of the Human Rights Campaign’s strategy for lobbying Congress — have a sumptious star-studded cocktail party on a yacht or penthouse and exclude politicians who don’t vote the right way.

Revolutionary New Homophobia Immersion Therapy Involves Lowering Patient Into Tank Of Gays

FEBRUARY 23, 2011 | ISSUE 47•08 The Onion
BOSTON—During a widely publicized press conference at the Boston University School of Medicine Friday, researchers announced a breakthrough new technique that cures homophobia by immersing patients in a large glass tank overflowing with gays. “Rather than avoid one’s fear of homosexual men, we believe it’s crucial to face it head on,” behavioral psychologist Dr. Dolph Kleineman told reporters, explaining how homophobic subjects are hooked up to a harness and lowered into a room containing bare-chested men dancing suggestively to the latest club hits, kissing, and feeding one another strawberries. “So far the treatment has been successful, with early test subjects being able to go out into the real world and see a gay couple hold hands without making a bigoted remark.” When asked if there was a risk of subjects getting stuck in the tank of writhing men, Kleineman said the gays would be so oiled up that patients would have no trouble slipping in and out.

There’s a Saul Bellow novel where a nice young Jewish couple who are into running and aerobics and other 80s trends take up spouse swapping, 4-ways and orgies.   It doesn’t go well for them, and whoever the narrator is observes that Jews aren’t intended for these Roman erotic sports.  That was before Anthony Weiner.

Recently heterosexuals have been copying gay trends, as usual, and talking about having no-strings-attached, friends-with-benefits relationships.  Or even standing around in locker rooms showing their erect tallywhackers and sexting pics of themselves to total strangers.  Which makes us want to ask, like African Americans who oppose the appropriation of soul music by Elvis and others:  can’t heterosexuals make their own culture?  I am waiting for the first wave of straight bath houses and glory holes.  (My straight girlfriends tell me that straight sexual encounters in bar, restaurant and other bathrooms is already well explored territory.)

The Timberlaker/Kunis movie is itself a “remake” of the Natalie Portman/Ashton Kutcher movie from just a few months back

So it’s funny that all these movies are coming out as New York and other states debate gay marriage equality; and as Obama attempts to tap the gay love this week in a Manhattan fundraiser, and the gay wallet, but with no strings attached!

Many defenders of traditional marriage, from deep writers like Dr. Leon Kass to incisive commentators like Ann Coulter, argue that marriage has a teleology.  It is not merely a contract between two (or more) adults in which they arrange their property, promises of fidelity, survivorship and guardianship issues, etc.  It is primarily for the care and raising of children.

Individuals, they say, may have a variety of types of relationships, but marriage is for the creation of a home, ideally with a mother and a father, where children are loved and educated by a parent of each gender who is biologically predisposed to love them because they are genetic offspring.

I don’t disagree with any of that.

So let’s say that gay people can only have civil unions or domestic partnerships, which will include all the rights about property and medical care and inheritance that exist between (married) heterosexual spouses.  UNLESS they adopt children (or one gay partner adopts the biological children of his or her partner).  And then they can marry.

Of course then we will need to make the same situation available to heterosexuals.  Heterosexuals will have to be given fertility tests when applying for a marriage license.  If both partners pass they may marry.  (We will be liberal and allow fertility challenged couples to obtain a license if they can demonstrate financial ability to pay for IVF, donor eggs, etc.)  Otherwise heterosexuals may only become domestic partners or civilly united, until they demonstrate that they have initiated adoption proceedings.
